The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and the prevention of disease.
Thomas A. Edison
"Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict the art of healing to one class of Men and deny equal privileges to others; the Constitution of the Republic should make a Special privilege for medical freedoms as well as religious freedom." Those are the words of Dr. Benjamin Rush, noted physician, medical professor, an early surgeon general to all Continental armies and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Bergamot oil is all about one's sense of self: self-love, self-worth, self-acceptance, self-judgment, self-hatred. This oil helps us do the work necessary to step out of our fears of not being good enough, or our habits of holding back for fear of rejection of Who We Are, and helps us to learn to love and accept ourselves. It teaches us to find validation within, accept our own authenticity, and not spend so much time worrying about what others will think about it.
It also helps us in processing and releasing fear, criticism, need for approval, shame, and emotional pain. It may also help with feeling like a failure, or feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, or worthlessness by helping us step into our own confidence, empowerment, ability to play bigger, self-approval and joyfulness Bergamot is a citrus fruit Improves Blood Circulation: stimulates hormonal secretions, thereby helping to maintain proper metabolic rates.

That is why the oil should always be stored in dark bottles and dark places. Exposure to sunlight should even be avoided after it is applied to the skin, at least until it gets absorbed into your skin
My child wants to become vegan. What do I need to be concerned about.
There was an article in the paper recently discussing teens moving to a vegan diet. It listed vegan sources of protein. The problem with vegetable protein sources is that they DO NOT contain all of the 9 essential amino acids needed for the body to function properly. Yes, a potato has an average of 4 grams of protein along with the 37 grams of carbohydrate but potatoes are incomplete proteins. Soy is an exception. Soy is used by other cultures in a fermented form like tofu, miso or tempeh. It is a nutrient-rich plant protein complete with all nine essential amino acids, which makes it unique to other plant protein sources. Be sure to look for Non GMO or organic soy.. 93% of the soy crops are genetically modified. There are studies showing organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility. Human studies show how genetically modified (GMO) food can leave material behind inside us, possibly causing long-term problems. Genes inserted into GMO soy, for example, can transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside us, and that the toxic insecticide produced by GMO corn was found in the blood of pregnant women and their unborn fetuses.
Important Note: Do not take astragalus if you are pregnant or nursing.
Oregano Essential Oil is an antiviral and antibacterial oil that helps boost the immune system and is ideal for combating infections. Mix 10 drops of oregano oil with two tablespoons of coconut oil as a hand sanitizer. It may cause irritation, so go easy on small cuts.
Thieves Oil is a blend of clove lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and rosemary that was created by 15th century thieves during the plague. The oil blend is antiviral, antiseptic and antibacterial. It works well in a diffuser to help purify the air in your home or as a throat spray to soothe a sore throat. It is available in a lozenge. A great way to get the benefits of essential oils is by breathing them so that they enter your body through the nose and lungs. Add five to eight drops of oil to the water as you run your bath for a soothing, relaxing effect. I always put some Thieves in my hot tub

Nightshades are also high in lectins. This substance is produced by plants as natural pesticides. Research is showing it may also have the potential to contribute to various adverse health effects, including gut inflammation and gastrointestinal damage.
When planning a maintenance diet fat and protein trigger very little insulin. Good fats like butter, coconut oil, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, flax oil and fish oils along with protein and low carbohydrate vegetables will reduce the insulin released.
Lipotropic Complex - Nutritive support for healthy liver function to help catabolize and metabolize lipids and fats. Lipotropic nutrients include choline, methionine and betaine, which mobilize the flow of fats away from the liver, out through the large intestine, and thereby decrease fatty deposits. Lipotropics are used to treat gallbladder problems and fatty liver. http://www.vitacost.com/productResults.aspx?N=0&ss=1&Ntt=Lipotropic
Turmeric - Turmeric is recognized as being beneficial in promoting liver health by helping to remove cholesterol from the liver. It helps the body to flush out toxins in a much easier and in efficient way. Turmeric is known to increase the secretion of bile thus improving digestion. Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric. The usefulness of curcumin in fighting fatty liver problems is born out by public health observers in India. Up to 38% of the people in north India carry a gene that predisposes them to fatty liver disease. Far fewer than 38% of this population, however, actually develop health problems related to fatty liver disease. This could be due to the popularity of curcumin-rich curries in the Indian diet. http://www.turmericforhealth.com/turmeric-benefits/benefits-of-turmeric-for-liver. http://turmericsgold.com/conditions/curcumin-for-fatty-liver-disease/

testing has proved Parkinson's Disease depression is caused by brain
chemical imbalances. The depression is triggered when the brain cells
that produce dopamine die. Dopamine provides many valuable brain
function capabilities. It has a direct, positive effect on the
of concentration, drive, up-lifting mood, strength, and coordination.
Dopamine balances the body's appetite for food. Dopamine and its
interaction with serotonin improves the body's sleeping abilities.
Dopamine's has the ability to enhance the feelings of drive, mood,
strength, concentration, and coordination. Dopamine fights against the
feelings of depression, the lack of concentration, the intense feelings

are many vitamins and minerals needed for brain nutrition. B12 is
essential. It plays an crucial role in the maintenance of the sheaths
and protect the nerves of the central and the peripheral nervous system,
assuring that proper nerve impulses are transmitted. It is best used
in a sublingual tablet or liquid. Choline should be found in your multi
vitamin/mineral. Choline is the precursor to the neurotransmitter
acetylcholine. Your brain is mostly fatty tissue and you need GOOD fats
like fish oil, coconut oil, fats from nuts and seeds like walnuts and
evening primrose and organic butter to keep it healthy. There are
studies that diets low in good fats could speed up the onset of
Alzheimer's. Manganese is needed in small amounts for metabolizing
proteins and fats,
healthy nerves and regulating levels of blood
sugar. Alzheimer's Disease is sometimes referred to as Diabetes Type 3
because your brain needs a controlled blood sugar level to operate
properly. Alpha Lipoic Acid is prescribed in Europe for diabetics. ( see

If the body not have enough iodine to do its job the body can
cause the thyroid to work harder. This can result in an enlarged thyroid gland
(goiter) that usually becomes evident as a swollen neck. These were very common
in the Midwest region as settlers moved westward.
Melting glaciers had washed iodine and other minerals out of the soil and there
was no source of fresh sea food. By the early 1900's iodine
deficiency was so common in the US and Canadian midwest it became known as the goiter belt. The addition of iodine to table salt
improved public health. Now they tell us to limit our salt intake but they
forgot to tell us to take iodine.
When you start using a thyroid support program it should include adrenal glandular product also. Thyroid and adrenal hormones are synergistic, they work best together.
Sandalwood: This was used in ancient times to assist in meditation. It has a chemistry that is 90% Sesquiterpenes, the highest of all the oils. Some researchers believe the gold given to the Christ child was sandalwood oil. It has a gold color and was valued as gold. Sesquiterpenes have been found to deprogram misinformation in the body and carry oxygen to the cellular level. It can stimulate the release of melatonin necessary for a good sleep cycle. More properties attributed to sesquiterpenes are:
The benefits of peppermint oil
include its ability to treat indigestion, respiratory problems,
headache, nausea, fever, stomach and bowel spasms, as well as for pain
relief due to the presence of menthol. It is considered one of oldest
medicines due to it's considerable history. The many health benefits of
peppermint and peppermint oil have been studied and proved in
scientific tests. Studies have shown that peppermint oil caps are useful
in treating IBS symptoms. Because the strong aromatic oils can cause
heartburn be sure confirm the tablets are 'enteric coated'. This means
that they have a special coating that allows them to reach the
intestines before they dissolve, rather than breaking down in the
stomach where they do less good.

It is interesting to me that the Latin name for Palo Santo is Bursera graveolens. Every person has hundreds of bursa found throughout the body. The
function of a bursa is to decrease friction between two surfaces that
move in different directions. The bursa is a slippery, fluid-containing
sac. Normally, the bursa is thin and contains a small amount of fluid. And the herb Graviola has been found in in vitro studies to have anti cancer potential.
